EMIT DRAIN FLY AEROSOL SPRAY (450ml)
EMIT Drain Fly Aerosol Spray is a ready-to-use, water-based aerosol expanding foam formulation. When deployed, it generates a thick, highly visible wet foam that expands to completely fill residential and commercial drainage lines, effectively controlling stubborn fly infestations exactly where they breed.
Targets: Drain Flies, Sewer Flies, and Moth Flies (Psychoda spp.)
Ideal For Use In: Residential homes, HDB flats, commercial kitchens, food establishments, public toilets, and bathrooms.
How Does It Work?
Traditional liquid chemicals wash away instantly, but the EMIT expanding foam mechanism delivers multi-action structural elimination:
- Total Structural Contact: Once sprayed, the pressurized foam bubbles carry our highly effective active ingredients horizontally and vertically to thoroughly coat every inner surface of the drainage line.
- Dissolves the Biofilm Slime: It actively breaks down, loosens, and cleans organic matter clinging to the internal pipe structures, elbows, and deep U-bends.
- Complete Life-Cycle Knockdown: It penetrates deep into the breeding sludge to target and kill all life stages of the pests—completely neutralizing Eggs, Larvae, Pupae, and Adults.
- Source Elimination: By destroying the organic matter at its source, it removes their breeding grounds and stops future re-infestations.
This product cannot eliminate flies harboring inside structurally broken or cracked drainage pipes, situations where organic matter has already leaked out into the surrounding soil, or if the flies are breeding entirely outside of the enclosed pipe system.
Directions for Use
Step 1: Choose the Right Timing
Always apply the treatment when the drains will remain completely undisturbed for a long period, such as right before bedtime or after commercial shop closing hours.
Step 2: The 30-Minute Dry Window
Ensure there is absolutely no water usage or washing in the targeted sink or trap for at least 30 minutes before application. This ensures that remaining wastewater has sufficiently drained out and the internal water line is at its lowest level.
Step 3: Application Method
- For Wash Basins & Sinks: Shake the can well. Insert the extension spray straw deeply into the pipe opening and depress the actuator. Release the pressurized foam continuously, stopping immediately when foam begins to rise and exit the spray entrance.
- For Floor Traps: Lift the floor trap cover frame. Insert the straw into the primary drain pipe and depress the actuator. The strong pressurized foam will fill the internal chamber and dislodge clinging organic matter. Repeat until the pipe volume is visibly full of foam.
Do not wash anything, flush the drains, or turn on the taps for at least 3 hours after treatment. Using the water lines too early will immediately wash the active ingredients down the sewer line, diluting the formula and rendering the treatment completely useless. Let the foam sit undisturbed for 2 to 3 hours for optimal efficacy.
Treatment Schedules:
- Minor Infestations: Repeat the application process for 3 consecutive days.
- Major Infestations (Aged, Hardened Organic Buildup): Extend the daily treatment to a full week. For old, thick blockages, a stiff plumbing brush may be required to scrub and physically dislodge the aged buildup alongside the foam treatment.
